Mee’tal. It’s meaning “arising from the morning dew” is an appropriate name for a child of Holocaust survivors, for each survivor arose from the ashes of the camps and ghettos into a new and promising tomorrow. Much of my art comes from telling my families stories. It has been a burden that I carried for many years. Completing my Holocaust series has been fulfilling and comforting. Today I paint in full color and in search of the spiritual meaning of our existence. It’s been a wondrous journey.
